Make a statement

Happy Wednesday everyone!

First, let me start by saying that I know its Spring and all but, I love edgy looks and most of the time I do love to wear all black. I am trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe (it’s a process) lol. For now, lets go ahead and proceed with my all black outfit ūüôā

I am wearing an ACDC band tee, (yes I actually listen to them lol). I have a huge¬†obsession with band tees. They are so easy to pair with any outfit and like I previously stated,¬†I love edgy looks. Band tees¬†are really popular and there are so many styles and bands to choose from. If you don’t own one yet you should definitely grab one, or two ūüėČ This shirt also has a little distress in it which i think gives it that extra edge.

Next, the pants. They are a dark grey/black mid waisted jean with a frayed edge at the bottom. Frayed denim is a big¬†trend right now and its fun to add to any outfit. These are a little more frayed then most but its definitely fun and adds¬†a unique feel to this¬†outfit. Belts can really turn your outfit from drab to fab in an instant, it’s important to accessorize even if its minimal. I have been trying to¬†slowly build my collection up. This is one of my favorite belts right now because it’s small and adds some detail between the shirt and jeans so it doesn’t look too plain.

Since this is an all black outfit I could’ve paired this with a black shoe and gone all out in black but I think statements booties are a must and I’m definitely that type of girl¬†to wear booties no matter what weather it is.

When I first saw these beautiful royal blue shoes I instantly fell in love. I’m a shoe whore and I fall in love often but, these really spoke to me. I love the richness of this blue color and that this bootie goes up past the ankle. These booties are really form fitting, pretty comfortable for such a high heel¬†and¬†adds to the¬†edgy vibe.

Embroidered skirt

For this week’s post I decided to style a denim skirt with a choker top and over the knee black boots. Embroidery has become one of the top trends from the runway¬†like brands Gucci and¬†Alexander McQueen. This trend¬†can be seen on a variety of things such as shoes, clothing and accessories. One of the items that I have seen this trend on the most lately is denim. Pants, jackets, skirts and shorts all become cute and unique items with a little embroidery. 6¬†The main element in this outfit is the skirt. This skirt can be dressed down with sneakers for a more casual look but, I decided to dress it up a little bit.¬†Since this is a darker wash denim skirt I opted for a black top and black shoe to pair it with. 2I like this top because the material was really soft and easy to put on. It’s also really simple and can match with a lot of different things. I already love chokers so the fact that its already in the shirt is just perfect for me. Since the skirt is a little high waisted i tucked the long sleeve into the skirt so that it look more fitted and clean. This also gives you a nice hourglass shape.

1¬†And now¬†the shoes! (my favorite part). These over the knee boots were a hard find. I was looking for a cute but low, chunky heel so i could wear it with a lot of different things without my feet hurting after too long. Comfort is key, guys. I have small legs so finding boots like this that fit around my thigh perfect was very hard. They do have a cute string tie in the back that’s¬†adjustable but for the most part they fit my legs perfectly. I love how this looks with the skirt and top. Lastly, I paired this whole outfit with a small black purse thats perfect for carrying just enough and doesn’t look too bulky just in case i wanted to wear this outfit out for the night.5

Catch of the day

Hello all, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. My apologies, I have been SO busy with school and trying to earn my degree I haven’t had time to do posts :'(.¬†I have recently made the move to LA (finally) and am inspired daily by others and it motivated me¬†to get back on here and share my love for fashion once again with whoever wants to come read and get inspo from my site. I appreciate everyone’s support and I promise I’ll be writing on here more often!

So, let’s get to it!

Fishnets are a huge trend right now and I have fallen in love with them. It was hard for me to find a pair for a while but when I did I purchased them immediately. Fishnets can be really versatile. You can wear small or big fishnets with skirts, shorts, dresses or jeans. They can be edgy but also worn in a classy way as well.

For this look, I decided to style a DIY crop top out of an old oversized black tee I had in my closet. All I did was roll up the front part and put a rubber band on it to create this cute knot in the middle.

Then, I styled the fishnets underneath a pair of ripped denim. I wanted the fishnets to come up past the waist so it creates dimension between the crop top and jeans and also adds the same thing towards the bottom between my jeans and shoes. Lastly, I paired it with these classic vans shoes which everyone seems to be loving right now (they are super comfy), a small backpack and some sunnies.

In the Nude

Hello all, and welcome to my fashion blog!

For my very first post I went with a neutral look and minimal accessories that added to the outfit. I recently revamped my closet and threw away some items I held onto for WAY too long. It was sad but, I got to splurge a little on new items that were more me. For this look I’m wearing a v-neck nude bodysuit paired with skinny black ripped jeans, and black booties. I’m loving that neutrals are in right now and this skin colored bodysuit really adds that pop of “color” to this all black outfit. My black jeans are mid-waisted and I felt that I needed something to tie the bodysuit to the pants and this double western belt with silver embellishments does just that. I try to always throw a necklace with my outfits. Since this is a deep v cut, I decided to put the black choker with it to match and give a little more attention to my neck area without taking away from the v cut. I really am obsessed with chokers right now but love this black one because it goes with a lot. Instead of a round toe, I went with a pointy toe black bootie which gives this outfit that extra edginess. Not only is this outfit trendy and cute but it’s simple to put together and can transition from day to night by simply adding a leather jacket.

Who else loves neutrals right now and is obsessed with this choker like I am!?
